The congregation of the Greater Saint Matthew Baptist Church voted to adopt a statement of purpose for the ministry as a whole. This mission is periodically reviewed by the leadership for continued relevance and our faithfulness to fulfill it. It is our custom to rehearse the recitation of our mission statement during regular Sunday worship services so it is ever before us. We believe that where there is no vision, the people perish, and that the vision should be written and made plain so that those that see it may run with it. Therefore we have the 5 M's that mark the milestones for our members.
